When the Power of Our Way Community launched the official kick-off for Conscious Dialogues™ we received a number of questions pertaining to the future of leadership.

Dr. Marshall Goldsmith Dr. Marshall Goldsmith

Marshall Goldsmith is a world authority in helping successful leaders get even better - by achieving positive change in behavior: for themselves, their people and their teams.

Dr. Goldsmith is a University Professor at Alliant International University's Marshall Goldsmith School of Management.

Recently the American Management Association named Dr. Goldsmith as one of 50 great thinkers and leaders who have influenced the field of management over the past 80 years and Business Week listed him as one of the most influential practitioners in the history of leadership development.  In 2005 he was recognized as a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources – the highest award for an HR professional and recognized in Business Week as one of 50 great leaders in the United States.  His work has been featured in a Harvard Business Review interview, Forbes article, Business Strategy Review cover story (from the London Business School) and New Yorker profile.  He has appeared in: The Wall Street Journal - as one of the top ten executive educators, Forbes - as one of five most-respected executive coaches, The Economist - as one of the most credible consultants in the new era of business and Fast Company - as America’s preeminent executive coach.  His work has received national recognition from almost every professional organization in his field, including: the Academy of Management, ASTD, HRPS and SHRM.

Marshall is one of the few consultants who have been asked to work with over 70 major CEOs and their management teams.  He conducts workshops for executives, high-potential leaders and HR professionals.  His Ph.D. is from UCLA.  He is an Adjunct Professor teaching executive education at Dartmouth’s Tuck School and he is frequently asked to speak at leading business schools.

Michelle James Michelle James

Michelle James is a business creativity catalyst and Creative Emergence coach who has been using universal creative principles as the basis for her work with individuals, corporations, and communities for the past 11 years. Michelle’s passion is infusing creativity and imagination into current knowledge and information systems for individual, organizational, and social transformation. She has consulted on, designed and delivered hundreds of creativity and innovation programs for organizations of all sizes. Known for her original and richly textured dynamic learning environments, Michelle presents at creativity events internationally. Laurence “Larry” S. Lyons

Larry is the founding director of The Metacorp Group. He is an accomplished coach, consultant, public speaker, and author, as well as a leading authority on organizational transformation. His thirty years' experience includes senior line and staff management positions in organizations of all sizes.

Larry provides consultancy in business strategy and organizational change & development to clients in all sectors. Larry's executive coaching and consulting career extends over fifteen years and includes many blue-chip and multinational clients, such as British Airways, Unilever, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, British Broadcasting Corporation, WH Smith, MediaOne, Bank of England, Oracle, Dresser Industries, EDS, and Deutsche Bank.

While leading consultant relations at Digital Equipment in the UK, Larry has worked at partner level with all the major consultancies. Many of Larry's personal coaching clients are to be found in Who's Who. Laurence Lyons holds a Ph D. in organizational analysis and an MSc in management from Brunel University. He is a member of several professional bodies and a member of associate faculty at Henley Management College, Oxfordshire, England, where he is Director of Research of the Future Work Forum. He is also a member of the Peter F. Drucker Thought Leaders’ Forum and a member of the International Advisory Committee of the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches WABC.

He has appeared in such diverse publications as The Times, Computing, the Los Angeles Times, the Journal of the Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and Practical Training. Jim OherJim Oher

Jim Oher is a consultant specializing in business coaching, action inquiry and group facilitation.  He has been involved in the design and delivery of several executive leadership competency models as well as customized feedback services. Jim is a founding member of Marshall Goldsmith Partners, and has trained with the Action Design Institute principals in their weeklong executive program, “Creating Productive Conversations.”

Jim is a highly skilled group facilitator and holds several certifications in various measurement and assessment instruments. He is also a certified psychoanalyst and psychotherapist and the recipient of a National Institute of Mental Health scholarship as well as the Robert M. Lindner Scholarship. He is a member of the Institute of Executive Development, the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches, and the Alliance for Strategic Leadership. He is a guest lecturer on Emotional Intelligence at New York University and currently working on a paper about business and executive coaching for the Harvard Business Review.
